Server-side tracking: more of your sales steps reach Meta

Ad blockers and iPhones hide many product views, add to carts and sales from the browser pixel. With server-side tracking, GrowViking's server sends them to Meta's Conversions API as well, so Meta learns from more of your shoppers.

How to do it

  1. 1

Add GrowViking's tracking line to your shop (WooCommerce), or install the GrowViking app (Shopify).

  2. 2

On Meta setup, open Conversions API, paste the key from Events Manager and tick Send each new paid order to Meta from GrowViking.

  3. 3

Tick Also send product views, add to carts and checkouts. Tick Page views too only if you want every page sent.

  4. 4

If your shop does not already send these pixel events itself, tick that GrowViking also fires them on your browser pixel: Meta then gets each event twice with the same id and counts it once.

  5. 5

The box Events sent from your server shows each day's events and how well Meta matches them, from 0 to 10.

Events are sent only after the shopper's consent, in small batches. The IP address and browser go to Meta, as it requires, and are deleted from GrowViking right after. Leave it off if your shop's Facebook plugin already sends these events from its server.
